"In The Heights" by Lin Manuel-Miranda, focuses on the lives of a Latino and diverse neighborhood in Washington Heights, NY, July 3-5 2008. Usnavi, a bodega owner and narrator of the show, struggles to leave this neighborhood and return to his parent's home, Dominican Republic. Nina Rosario is dealing with the issues of being a freshman at Stanford University, while her parents manage the family taxi business. Vanessa is trying to move out of the barrio so she can get away and establish her independance. Other stories are present in this fantastic ensemble production featuring, Hip-Hop music, Rap, Latino music with lyrics in Spanish and English.
